Bushtracks Express Steam Train in Victoria Falls

Embark on an unforgettable journey aboard the Bushtracks Express Steam Train in Victoria Falls.

As you approach the iconic Victoria Falls bridge, prepare to step off and enjoy sunset drinks with the mist of the falls as a natural backdrop in the evening’s soft glow. Once back onboard and journeying through the bush, indulge in a gourmet dinner in a setting of refined elegance. This isn’t just a trip; it’s a delightful blend of history, nature, and luxury.

The train comprises of three carriages:
Dining Car
Kitchen Car
Observation Car

Steam Locomotive 14A Class 512; built by Northern British Locomotive Works in the 1953. This experience takes you back in time to the early 20th century.

Minimum 30 pax – maximum 44 pax (any other day of the week, if the train is available)
Private hire/exclusive: Minimum 44 pax

The train will travel on the “Cape to Cairo” mainline, which will then take it to the Victoria Falls Bridge. Game such as elephants and antelope are often spotted en route.

PLEASE NOTE: on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, the train may not be able to use this route due to schedule conflicts on the Victoria Falls Bridge.

Guests in Zimbabwe will be required to carry their passports for identification purposes only. This will not affect guests’ visa status, so passports will not be stamped.

Guests from Livingstone will need their passports along with the correct visa to cross into Zimbabwe in order to take part in this activity. Please ensure the correct visa has been purchased when doing this activity.

The train will stop on the bridge for approximately 20 minutes, and guests will have a chance to disembark from the train at this point.

A five-course set dinner will be served at the Jafuta siding before heading back to the Victoria Falls Station platform. Special dietary requirements need to be communicated in advance.
