Zipline Victoria Falls

The zipline in Victoria Falls spans from one side of the Zambezi to the other. You are harnessed and then launched into the deep gorge, at speeds of up to 106 km's on a pulley.

This is the longest Zipline in the world. Imagine the Adrenalin rush travelling speed of 106 km’s hurtling 425 m across the gorge while suspended 120 m above the breathtaking beauty of the Zambezi water below!

As the river zigzags down the Batoka Gorges, Victoria Falls, the Zipline cable is suspended from one side to the other. You are harnessed and attached to a pulley, then launched over the edge picking up speed as you descend over the water and reaching a speed of 106 km an hour.

*There is no age limit on these activities; however, at management’s discretion, children may be required to travel in a double harness with an adult. Parents and guardians of any child under 16 must be present and available to sign an indemnity on the child’s behalf.

Management retains the right to turn a child away at their discretion should they feel the child cannot cope with the experience in any way. There is no maximum age limit.

Flying Fox Victoria Falls

Flying fox thrill in Victoria Falls across the Zambezi Gorge.The flying fox experience means you are clipped into a harness attached to a horizontal wire across the gorge.

Imagine taking a running jump into thin air over the chasm, soaring horizontally through the air over the turmoil of the Zambezi River below in Victoria Falls.

At this point, the gorge at Victoria Falls is 200 meters wide and 120 meters deep. This is an excellent appetiser before you try the Zip Line and Gorge Swing.

Medical Conditions Guests must ensure that they inform the company of any medical condition they may have before arrival. This includes any allergies, e.g. bee stings, nuts, shellfish etc. In addition, if a guest is at risk of anaphylactic shock, they must please ensure that they carry an EpiPen.

Hydration guests must drink plenty of water, especially during the warmer months. It is generally recommended that guests drink at least 2 to 3 litres of water per day to limit the effects of dehydration. This excludes tea, coffee and alcoholic beverages, which act as diuretics and can, therefore, actually contribute to dehydration.

Observe the riverine forest from a variety of different vantage points – from above, below and within the canopy itself. Experience forest bird-life, which can include the Knysna and Purple-crested Turaco (Lourie) and Peregrine Falcons. The Victoria Falls Canopy Tour offers a network of slides, trails and rope bridge walkways within the canopy of the hardwood forest of the Zambezi gorges. This experience is suitable for adventure seekers of all ages including families and groups. This is family fun with a unique birds-eye view of one of the seven natural wonders of the world.

The Victoria Falls Canopy Tour consists of nine slides, varying in length and 1 cable bridge walkway. The longest slide is about 85 metres long and the shortest 40 metres in length. Our friendly and experienced staff will give you a detailed safety briefing before the canopy tour, taking you to step by step through your upcoming adventure. There are two guides on each tour and the activity lasts for between two to two and a half hours.

Imagine swinging in a child’s swing in the playground…now imagine a giant swing 95 m long and 120 m high above water…now imagine a 70 m free fall before you begin swinging. Stop imagining and come and try it out! Our high wire is suspended across the gorge at a point where the width is 316 m and 120 m deep. A harness is attached to the jumper and the jumping ropes; the other end is pivoted to the middle of the cable. The jumper leaps off the gorge’s edge, free-falling about 70 m before going into a 95 m-long pendulum-type swing.
